Societal change starts with real talk and real engagement. The CVC Outreach Program will be dedicated to quality trainings, presentations and group discussions based on developmental maturity and geared towards professional need and primary prevention objectives.
Description/Goal:
The College program is geared to provide conversations for campus culture change. The CVC is dedicated to raising awareness and opening the floor to the hard conversations students want to have on topics that are affecting them in real-time. The College program will also be focused on training campus peer education groups on effective advocacy skill development and trauma-informed education.
Programs Offered:
Peer-Group Trainings:
Drug/Alcohol and Consent, Healthy Relationships (signs of Abuse), Bystander intervention, Self-Care (burnout avoidance), Trauma-Informed Questioning, Title IX, etc.
Classroom/Assembly Programming:
Offered for not only classrooms (freshmanfirst year courses) but also as incorporation into College/University-wide campaigns and clubs/groups geared toward primary prevention and effecting cultural change on campus
